On the afternoon of November 13, Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of our Group, signed a new Shipbuilding Contract for two 59000 DWT Bulk Carriers with Shanghai Baosteel Shipping Co., Ltd.

The Group, together with Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute launched two 59000 DWT Bulk Carriers to meet the shipowner’s need. The length overall of the ships is about 199.95m, the length between perpendiculars is 197.00m, the breadth is 35.80m, the depth is 18.00m, the designed draft is 11.20m, the structural draught is 11.70m, the cargo hold capacity is about 81300 cubic meters and classed with CCS. The ship has the advantages of large hold capacity, heavy load and flexible cargo distribution etc, which is suitable for cargo transportation along the China’s coastaland in the Yangtze River. It can sail in domestic coastal navigation area, Yangtze River ports below Nanjing and Pearl River Valley. It is characterized by single propeller, low-speed diesel engine drive, single hull and single deck. This type of ship is suitable for loading coal, sand, iron ore, grain and other bulk cargoes.
